Heritage Fellow Chum Ngek with National Endowment for the Arts Chairman
Dana Gioia. Master Chum of Gaithersburg, Maryland received his
award at a Capitol Hill ceremony in Washington, D.C. on September 30. A
recipient of the Bess Lomax Hawes Fellowship for service to his
community, he is a master of Cambodian music, an accomplished performer
and revered teacher. |
